How to get a medical card
1. REGISTER WITH MMCC
- Visit www.onestop.md.gov If you do not already have one, create an account by clicking “Register” in the top right and following the instructions. You will need to confirm your email.
- In OneStop, search for either “Adult Registration” or “Minor Registration”. Minors must have a caregiver registered prior to submitting an application.
- Review the documents you will need, scroll down and click the blue “Apply Now” button. You may be prompted to log in again, from here you will simply follow the application instructions.
- A physical patient identification card is optional. If you would like to receive a card you may purchase one for $25 through your OneStop account, once your Application has been approved. Qualifying patients who choose to verify their Maryland Medicaid or Veteran’s Affairs enrollment may obtain an identification card at no cost.
2. OBTAIN A CERTIFICATION
- Visit the www.onestop.md.gov “Adult Registration” page
- Select “To find registered medical provider” to access the full contact list of all registered providers in Maryland.
- Schedule an appointment near you!
- Have your MCA patient ID # ready to give your provider at your appointment. Your certification will be issued at your appointment and your certifying physician will attach your certification to your patient ID #.
